Nonostante non si tratti di una storia vera (forse questa é l'unica vera "pecca" del film e del libro da cui é stato tratto), The Help racconta veramente bene una parte di storia americana recente. È davvero passato poco da quando le persone di colore venivano trattate come "diverse" rispetto alle persone bianche, questo é qualcosa che mi shocka sempre (anche in Pan Am trattavano l'argomento).
Un cast di tutto rispetto, da Octavia Spencer (Minny) a Viola Davis (Aibileen) a Jessica Chastain (le ultime due hanno vinto il Golden Globes, tutte e tre nominate agli Oscar). Molto brave anche Bryce Dallas Howard ed Emma Stone.
In generale, un film che scorre liscio come l'olio nonostante la durata, ben girato, ben congeniato e ben recitato. Nominato tra i migliori film dell'anno agli Oscar, a mio parere meritava la nomination (anche se probabilmente non la vittoria).

Although it is not a true story (perhaps this is the only real "flaw" of the film and the book), The Help tells a really good part of recent American history when people of different color were treated as "different" than white people, this is something that shocked me (also in Pan Am the topic is treated).
A cast of highly respected, by Octavia Spencer (Minny), Viola Davis (Aibileen) and Jessica Chastain (the later two have won the Golden Globes, all three nominated for an Oscar). Very good too Bryce Dallas Howard and Emma Stone.
In general, a film well-shot, well thought and well recited. Voted one of the best films of the year at the Oscars, in my opinion deserved the nomination (although probably not the Oscar).
