Un libro che si inoltra nella storia di una giovane bambina cinese nel 19esimo secolo, ripercorrendo la storia della sua vita fino alla vecchiaia. Quello che risalta, soprattutto, sono le usanze a cui erano sottoposte tutte le donne, di cui la fasciatura dei piedi era solo la punta dell'iceberg. È la storia di un'amicizia che supera l'amore tra moglie e marito, e che durerà quasi per tutta la vita.
Mi é piaciuto molto, é scritto bene e apprezzo l'argomento, anche se nel finale non capivo bene tutto l'astio della protagonista (mi sembrava eccessivo).

I liked a lot, is well written and I appreciate the argument, although in the end I did not understand all the hatred of the protagonist (she over reacted).
