Leggendolo, mi é sembrata di vedere maggiormente l'impronta di Pratchett, che non di Gaiman. La sua ironia é dappertutto. Ma effettivamente, anche la fantasia e l'humour nero di Gaiman si notano. Insieme, formano un connubio perfetto. Il libro, che racconta la storia della fine del mondo, con Anticristo e lotta tra Bene e Male, é veramente ben narrato, divertente e dissacrante. Il personaggio di Crowley é geniale!

Reading it, seemed like more to see the imprint of Pratchett, than of Gaiman. His irony is everywhere. But actually, even fantasy and black humor of Gaiman is noted.Together, they form a perfect union. The book, which tells the story of the end of the world, with Antichrist and the fight between Good and Evil, is very well told,entertaining and irreverent.

Ecco, questo é un libro che ho letto in un pomeriggio. E quando l'ho finito, mi sono detta: ne voglio ancora! Scritto in maniera magistrale, narra la storia dal punto di vista di una bambina, e si svolge in Alabama subito dopo la grande depressione. I temi trattati sono parecchi: la paura dell'ignoto, il razzismo, la povertà.
Un romanzo eccezionale, vincitore nel 1960 del premio Pulitzer.

Here, this is a book I read in an afternoon. And when I finished, I said to myself: I want more! Written in a masterly way, tells the story from the point of view of a girl,and takes place in Alabama shortly after the Great Depression. The issues are many: fear of the unknown, racism, poverty.
A great novel, winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1960.
